Polymag® Traversing Web Cleaner System

The Model TWC Traversing Web Cleaner System cleans both sides of the web using the Contact Cleaning Roll (CCR) technology. As the web transports through the cleaner, two CCR's engage against each other in a nip configuration to remove loose contamination from the moving substrate.

When the CCRs become contaminated, an Automated Traversing Head cleans both CCR’s without interrupting the web cleaning process. Each Traversing head uses a small tape roller to transfer dirt from the CCRs.

After each traversing cycle, the tape roller moves out-side of the web path to a tape change position. While in this position a layer of tape can be removed, or the tape roll replaced while the web line is running.

When the system is in the Off mode both CCRs are retracted and neither roll is in contact with the moving web. Whether the Traversing Web Cleaner is in the On or Off mode, the web can continue to be transported through the web cleaner.
