Nip to Nip Web Cleaner

Polymag Tek's Nip to Nip Web Cleaner improves the quality of your products and reduces waste by cleaning both sides of paper, film, or foil webs prior to printing or coating.

The Nip to Nip prevents defects by transferring loose contamination on the web surface to Contact Cleaning Rolls (CCRs) made of our Polymag® Blue proprietary polymer.

This fully automated assembly is designed to mount anywhere between the unwind and the winder. The CCRs are individually actuated to create a soft nip against the moving web..

When the CCRs become contaminated, they retract for cleaning by the auto cleaner.

The auto cleaner uses water on a cleaning fabric to remove web contamination from the CCR. The high capacity cloth rolls require only weekly replacement.

After CCR cleaning, there is a drying cycle and the CCR is then ready to move back into service while the other CCR is retracted for auto cleaning. A simple yet highly effective system!

Polmag's patented high pressure wash cleans 100% of the contamination from the CCR's. No hand washing by the operator is required.

Slit edge dirt is also removed by incorporating Polymag's patented oscillation. The CCR's slowly move laterally during web cleaning to capture slit edge dirt over a 3" wide band on the CCR
