The Polymag® Dual Tape Roll Wide Web Cleaners

The Polymag® Dual Tape Roll Wide Web Cleaners integrates two overlapping tape rolls to expand the web width cleaning range over 60”. This new cleaner can now clean webs to 115” at web speeds of 300 fpm, without a gap between tape rolls which leaves an uncleaned web area. The gap is always present with tape rolls butted together to create a single tape roll over 60” on a shaft. It is difficult and nearly impossible to change tape and keep the two rolls at the same diameter as contaminated tape layers are removed. The uneven diameters leave areas of adhesive unused, which increases tape usage. The Polymag® Cleaners can use two rolls of different diameters making the tape change process easier, with more efficient cleaning, and economical tape usage. The Polymag® tape rolls are mounted “shaft-less” using spring loaded gudgeons for quicker and much easier tape roll changes.


Optional Cleaner features:

1. Patented Oscillation of the tape and/or “CCR” (Contact Cleaning Roll). Oscillation increases the cleaning efficiency and life of the adhesive tape when used to clean the “CCR”. The consumable adhesive tape life can be extended 5 to 20 times.

2. Speed matching of the tape rolls for continuous web cleaning while changing the adhesive tape top layers, or replacing the rolls.
