Basic Idler CCR

Contact Cleaning Rolls

The contact cleaning rolls (CCR) are polymer-covered rollers used to remove surface contamination from paper, films, and foils. The surface of the CCR is designed to remove dirt through direct contact any loose contamination on webs or sheets. Since the roll directly contacts the substrate, there is no interference with boundary layer air entrapped particles. The contamination on the surface of the CCR can be removed easily by hand washing or with adhesive tape.

The CCR's

The Polymag® Blue Contact Cleaning Rolls (CCR’s) contact the product as it feeds through your machine. The surface of the CCR has been designed to attract loose particulate contamination on contact. The CCR’s can be custom designed and fabricated to almost any roll size or configuration. Polymag® can even cover your existing roll shells. Polymag® CCR’s are incorporated in our custom patented web and sheet cleaning machine systems.
